Microsoft Decides to Pull Plug in Vista RTM
IT company Microsoft decided to stop supporting Vista RTM to that IT service users would use exclusively its newest IT product, Windows 7. The software giant has announced that it will offer free telephone IT Support and IT security patches for the OS only until 13 April, when it will pull the plug. Also, talking about another OS, Windows XP SP2, IT Support will stop being provided to customers on 13 July.Other operating systems joining XP SP2 and Vista RTM are Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 RTM. The first one will no longer be supported in any way by the IT company, whereas Windows Server 2003 RTM users will have to pay for technical support. Windows Communication manager, Brandon LeBlanc, said that "I want to remind everyone of the benefits of keeping Windows Update turned on. Through Windows Update, not only are you provided with the latest security updates and service packs for Windows at no cost, but also the latest updates to products such as Internet Explorer 8 and Microsoft Security Essentials."
