The Truth About Green IT
The Truth About Green IT
Green IT has made a big fuss over the internet world, and it seems more of just a puff rather than a reality. Most companies are dropping back when it comes to ecological ways of computing since there are still no policies put into place.Green IT has been widely publicized for the past couple of years that some are doubting if it's even going to become a reality rather than just a subject frequently chewed over by most business organizations. Sadly, a recent report says the world is not ready for green strategies, not just yet.
The Business Performance Management (BPM) Forum revealed in an April report that most, if not all, of IT experts prioritize naturally responsible operations, however they are short of resources to promote low energy usage. The study conducted was participated by 150 companies, by which majority admitted they lack the ability to regulate their energy consumption. About 66 percent acknowledged their insufficiency when it comes planning for green technology.
According to Derek Kober, director of the Business Performance Management (BPM) Forum, "The findings weren't a complete surprise. But it was surprising how much concern, intent and priority were expressed about reducing consumption, compared with how much action is being taken. There's a big gap between the two."
