The Linux Foundation is planning to launch a summit that will allow Linux users to mesh with Linux kernel community. The event, which is slated this October 13 and 14, will involve Linux maintainers and developers. It will be held at the Desmond Tutu Center and will be featuring a panel with key Linux maintainers, a panel of large users, and a presentation of the Linux Weather Forecast, designed to keep users up-to-date on coming changes to the kernel.
The summit’s first keynote will be from Novell Inc. CEO, Ron Hovsepian with a question and answer session with Linux Foundation Executive Director, Jim Zemlin. Also speaking will be Paul Cormier, executive vice president and president of products and technologies at Red Hat Inc.
Interested participants can apply at the Linux Foundation web site and will be selected based on their ability to communicate with the kernel community.
