Hadron Scientist Charged of Terrorism

A nuclear physicist at Hadron Collider was apprehended for terrorism charges by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Cern). The man's name remains undisclosed.

Cern accuses the man of gaining connections to  al –Qaeda’s Algerian cell. The organization, however, refutes any suggestions that the suspect could have access to data usable in terrorism acts.

“Cern is a particle physics research laboratory whose research addresses fundamental questions about the universe,” Cern said in an official statement.

“None of our research has potential for military application, and all our results are published openly in the public domain. Cern is providing the support requested by the French police in this enquiry.”

Cern further revealed the man was not working in the organization. He was only under a contract with a third party institute.

Cern is slated to start a new research; however, it may need to operate in less power because of the gravity of the "breach."
