Apple Alleged of Releasing Toxic PCs

An unknown researcher at France's CNRS research center is claiming he has found hazardouz materials in the emissions of some Apple Macintosh units. Benzene is believed to be emitted from a Mac Pro computer which is proven dangerous to human health.

The report states that over exposure to benzene may result to increased cancer risk. The vapors of the chemical can also cause eye and throat irritation. Furthermore, the report cited some Apple support threads whererein complaints of Mac Pro devices emitting odd smells were posted.

Apple is now conducting investigations regarding the claim and maintains that the company is not aware of any benzene emissions in the Mac Pro. Apple is a known advocate of green technology and strongly considers environmental impacts when releasing hardware and updates.
