Apple Admits Poor iPhone Reception

After several complaints regarding iPhone 3G reception, Apple finally admitted that the phone indeed has reception problems. Customers around the world have been whining over iPhone 3G's spotty reception but Apple chose to stay silent for the past couple of days. A company representative recently revealed that the latest firmware update, 2.0.2, "improved communication with 3G networks", more or less acknowledging that their product had glitches. The official, however, did not specify  the issues the update addressed.

Contrary to what Apple anticipated with the release of 2.0.2, a number of users have started compaining that the updated version led to crashes. "bricked" handsets, slower applications, a lag in the virtual keyboard, Internet connection issues, and spotty call reception. Some even think that the issue is device-specific and has nothing to do with its software. Apple haven't released further statements about the update's reported setbacks.
