Google Faces Patent Infringement Lawsuit
Google is now facing a lawsuit filed by Graphon alleging the company of infringement on four of their patents that protect Graphon’s method of maintaining an automated and network-accessible database.Graphon is a developer of server-based application publishing and web-enabling software solutions. Its lawsuit against Google is not the first attempt to protect its patent. It appears that Graphon has a long list of infringement cases similar to the lawsuit against Google. The company also filed a complaint against AutoTrader.com three years ago on infringement on some of the same patents Google is accused of encroaching on. Another case was filed against Juniper Networks in November 2007 on infringement of Graphon’s fundamental network security and firewall technologies.
