We take our responsibilities seriously at Littlefish, not only to our clients but also to the environment and we have a policy to do whatever we can, however small, to make a difference.

Reduce > Reuse > Recycle – with this in mind, we do as much as we can to reduce our environmental impact.

Reduce – With green efficiencies in mind, we always recommend products that have green credentials to help reduce energy consumption where possible. Less energy consumed means a lesser carbon footprint which we would always want to promote to our clients.

Our engineer car fleet are all Minis, which are not only great in terms of fuel efficiency, but the newer cars in the fleet are also fitted with start/stop technology which adds to their green rating as well. In supplement to this, we go the extra mile and invest in a tree planting scheme to cover our carbon footprint every year as well.

Reuse – We use towels in our washrooms to prevent paper wastage from paper towels and use eco-friendly cleaning chemicals to clean our office. We also appreciate that using pre-loved (or secondhand) furniture also makes a difference, as the reuse of something also contributes to less carbon emissions – not requiring new furniture to be made to supply us means a lesser carbon footprint!

Where applicable and in line with the client’s procurement policies, we look to find suitable refurbished equipment to be used. Whilst this will always have a 12-month guarantee, refurbished items can offer a cost-effective option which also delivers environmental benefit.

Recycle – WEEE – or Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment – disposal is a service that we offer. We work with registered partners who provide the most local service to your address to ensure that your waste is disposed of in the correct manner. For example CRT monitors (TV-style monitors) have to be disposed of in accordance with the Hazardous Waste regulations and all our partners will help you with your legal paperwork and ensure your compliance.

In our offices, our procurement strategy is to buy recycled products wherever possible and practical – from printer paper to biros and pencils to mousemats, even the toilet rolls are made from recycled paper!

We have a recycling container scheme within our offices to ensure that waste and recyclables are segregated at source. We have a contract with Wastecycle to take all our waste and process it through a Materials Recycling Facility. This means that everything that can be recycled is recycled!
