Yahoo Wants Tweets in Its Search Results
IT company Yahoo wants to get micro-blogging IT service Twitter in its collection of Internet sites. This move comes after the Internet giant decided to follow its fellow IT connectivity users, Bing and Google, and add real-time results to its search. This partnership means that users will have the possibility to view tweets on Yahoo sites and post Twitter messages without having to leave Yahoo.Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said that "The information in one single tweet can travel light-years farther with this Yahoo integration. Tweets in more places brings relevance where and when you need it most. We're turning the key to the online social universe - you will find the most personally relevant experiences through Yahoo." Jim Stoneham, Yahoo's vice president of Communities said that "We believe that the content and context side of things is very unique." Yahoo decided not to disclose any information about the costs involved in this partnership.
