Yahoo Knew about Attacks but It Didn't Say Anything

It seems that IT company Yahoo Inc. knew of the Chinese hacker attack against Internet search giant Google but it didn't say anything. Also, it conitnued to remain silent even after Google disclosed the attacks against it and more than 30 companies. Google said that hackers used an IT security flaw to access emails of human activists on IT service Gmail.

It wasn't announced if Yahoo had exactly the same problems as Google did, if hackers wanted to access privileged data or if they succeeded. However, the two IT companies had a talk about the attacks after Google discovered that Yahoo was also attacked. On Friday, Yahoo said that it doesn't usually make public information about its attacks but it takes IT security very seriously.
