The WiMax Forum has introduced a global roaming program that enables operators and vendors to get the information to create WiMax roaming services.
It potentially enables WiMax subscribers to get service while moving outside of their home network's geographical coverage area. It also enables device manufacturers to create products that can utilize multiple WiMax networksfrom different providers.
While many businesses are still implementing 3G connections for its mobile workforce, WiMax could represent a substantial productivity boost.
