Proctor & Gamble Teams Up with IBM
Procter and Gamble announced it had seeked the help of IBM in managing its security services. The company aims to strengthen their security systems and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its security operations.Procter & Gamble Co. manufactures a wide range of consumer goods. As of 2008, P&G is the 23rd largest US company by revenue and 14th largest by profit.
Details of the outsourcing arrangement were not unveiled by P&G, but IBM ISS Director Peter Evans asserts that internal network protection and perimeter-based defense are among the services IBM will manage. IBM also assumes to offer services which include identity, access management, and data-leakage prevention.
