Oracle Buys Silver Creek Systems
Oracle Buys Silver Creek Systems
On Monday IT company Oracle has already made its first acquisition of the year and that is data quality vendor Silver Creek Systems. The IT service provider that Oracle bought has software that enables companies to get simple descriptions of IT products. Oracle said that improving a retail chain's online shopping experience and helping an IT services company create a single service catalog are results of better product data.Oracle's competitors in data quality and integration are IBM, Informatica and Pitney Bowes. The company hasn't offered any details in future development of Silver Creek's technology but it is sure that it will help Oracle's Product Hub to work alongside its SCM (supply chain management), CRM (customer relationship management) and Agile PLM (product lifecycle management) software. Customers will receive more information in the near future.
