Internet Has To Be Rebuilt, Experts Say

According to some experts, the fundamental internet protocols should be remodeled due to its lack of proper security. A more updated system that fosters openness for accountability was suggested as the major change that should take place. 
 

Government Affairs for National Security Policy at Verizo executive director Marchus Sachs said, “There are fundamental problems in the internet and maybe we need to look at fundamental fixes."

 

“It’s like the old Roman roads, our enemies will use it against us.”

 

Sachs further noted that the basic structure of the TCP/IP, which was bulit 40 years back, is not well protected. This could mean that cyber criminal across the globe are destroying US databases and putting the government at risk. 

 

Sachs said designs should be improved, making TCP/IP more secure and cutting security costs at the same time.
