Hackers Claim Responsibility Over T-Mobile Data Theft

A group of cyber crooks laid claim over the T-mobile attack, which cost the company a huge amount of internal data.

T-Mobile is now investigating on the matter, and is examining an email the hackers posted in its Full Disclosure mailing list, stating they were responsible for the breach and were open to all interested buyers of the data.

"We have everything -- their databases, confidential documents, scripts and programs from their servers, financial documents up to 2009. We are offering them for the highest bidder," the message indicated.

The criminals attached sample information they have stolen which included OS versions application and IP addresses gathered from T-Mobile's database.

T-Mobile said, "As is our standard practice, if there is any evidence that customer information has been compromised, we would inform those affected as soon as possible."
