Forrester: Downturn Isn't Harming Green IT

A pragmatic money-saving approach to green IT is insulating the trend from chilly economic winds, a new report has said. Over one third of IT support practitioners responding to the survey by Forrester Research said they'd maintain the pace of their green IT plans despite a slowing economy, and 10 per cent even said they'd accelerate their plans.



"The slowing economy will not derail efforts to make IT support operations more efficient and less environmentally harmful," said the report, the fourth of its kind. The main reason, it concludes, is because green IT saves money.
