Experts Fear iPad Security Risks

Even though the newest IT product from IT company Apple has its IT security level high, IT engineers fear that there might be IT Support needed for other security issues that might appear, some of which affecting the iPhone too. The most feared IT security issues that IT engineers are concerned about are pishing attacks and browser exploits. The iPad might be also affected by malware.

The technical director of PandaLabs, Luis Corrons, thinks that even though the iPhone and the iPad use the same OS, the iPad is much stronger. "The device is really close to an iPhone, so we should expect a similar security. However, unlike the iPhone, it would be able to open PDF documents by default. 2009 has been a year with a number of different vulnerabilities exploited through PDF documents. So this will be one of the major risk vectors that the iPad will face when it arrives." Users have to take care and look for such threats when using the iPad.
