BT Renounces Rumors of Fibre-Optic Rollout Problems
BT disclaims it had problems rolling out fibre-optic cables due to some complaints from residents. The firm asserts the project has never been disrupted and will continue to roll out successfully. It was reported that BT's deployment of fibre-optic broadband connections was barred by the residents of Muswell Hill. However BT said this never happened.
"The majority of cabinets have been successfully installed in Muswell Hill and customers are already enjoying super fast broadband. There is an issue with a small number of cabinets in a conservation area, and BT Openreach is in dialogue with the council on a solution," a BT representative explains.
BT further noted that the issue in Muswell Hill will not affect the firm's plans for fibre-to-the-cabinet rollouts.
