Three firms are now offering background checks for online dates as virtual dating continues grow.
 

Date Check is one of the companies delivering such services. Through its latest technology, people can check the background of their online dates from their mobile phones. All they need to do is enter the name or phone number of their date, and a detailed background of that person will be generated.

 

GelatoDating.com has also created a similar tool where people can assess their dates before they meet. The site displays a list of all the online activities of a person. It allows users to register and manage their “lifestream profile.

 

The third company is MicroAssist Inc., which launched the e-learning service EthicsEd. The service offers a training course on online sexual misdemeanours.
