Apple Dominates IT Product Gifts Search

The most searched IT product in the UK is the Apple iPhone during the week ending December 5 and the second most searched product is Apple iPod Touch, according to IT company Hitwise.

Because of the gift season started, visits to electronics internet sites increased by 16.5 percent between October 2009 and November 2009. This was the largest increase on such period of time in UK Internet traffic to consumer electronics websites this year.

UK Internet visits to consumer electronics retail websites always increase before Christmas, but this year they started a week earlier, during the week ending December 5th - a week closer to Christmas than compared to the last couple of years. Anyone that benefits from IT connectivity was able to purchase gifts online.
