Airline Passengers Prefer Wi-Fi Over Food
According to a survey from HP and American Airlines, airline business passengers feel wi-fi connectivity is more important than food.Around 47 percent of regular flyers are hooked in surfing the web while in an airport, during which food is disregarded. HP and American Airlines polled 1,582 respondents who have travelled over 20 times per year on three or more carriers.
Of the participants, 90 percent use mobile devices such as laptops and smartphones in connecting to the internet. Another 70 percent admitted their laptops are being used at work.
However, the survey also showed many travellers were not convenient working on a plane. Only 50 percent of the respondents felt otherwise. About 68 percent said they were particularly unhappy with dead battery or lack of place where they can charge.
